[Product name]
Masurao Natchi Enbu (Masurao Natchi Enbu)

[Product Features]
・This hatchet was made in collaboration with Babacho Hardware and is entirely made in Japan, in Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture.
- Use as a hatchet for splitting firewood when camping or outdoors.
-Can also be used for forestry work and hunting.
-It is designed with a full tang to eliminate concerns about the joint between the blade and handle breaking, and to ensure that force is transmitted to the blade.
- You can easily split firewood and make feather sticks to make it easier to start a fire.
- The blade is neither too big nor too small, making it easy to perform both delicate and powerful tasks.
The grip is smooth and comfortable in the hand, and is designed to prevent your hands from getting sore even when used for long periods of time.
- The grip is designed to be slightly thicker, allowing you to hold it firmly and making it easier to transfer the power of your arm to the blade.
- The tip is sharp, making it versatile.
- Comes with a dedicated leather case for safe carrying and transportation.
・The leather case has a belt loop so you can attach it to your waist or a bag and carry it around (only at designated locations such as campsites).
・This hatchet combines the sharpness and ease of handling of a knife with the strength and sturdiness of a hatchet.
-This hatchet can be used for a variety of purposes, such as splitting, cutting, chopping, and scraping wood and firewood.
-A beautiful and vivid layered pattern appears on the surface of the blade.
- Uses laminated steel that is hard and has excellent sharpness.
・This is a supreme product that is made with a focus on authenticity and does not allow for any compromise.

<What is laminated steel material?>
We use Yasugi steel Shirogami No. 2, which is often used for knives.
This steel has a sharp edge and is resistant to chipping, and is used in high-quality knives.
Of course, it has an excellent cutting ability when splitting firewood using normal firewood splitting or batoning, but it makes a big difference when it comes to sharpening tasks, especially with feather sticks.
The blade cuts into the wood gently, smoothly and without stress. People who are not good at using feather sticks will be able to feel this difference, and experts will be able to clearly see the difference in the material.
Furthermore, the patterns, which are layered like geological strata, captivate the viewer.

<Grip Features>
- The shape of the grip fits naturally to the palm of your hand when you grip it, so it puts less strain on your palm and is less likely to cause pain.
- The grip covers the base of the blade to prevent your index finger from coming into contact with the steel and causing pain when you hold it.
- The wooden handle is made of walnut, which makes for a dense, hard, strong, and extremely durable grip.
- The grip is screw-on so it can be removed for cleaning.
-The grip is screw-on, so you can remove the wooden handle and wrap it with paracord instead.
-The grip is screw-on, so you can remove the wooden handle and replace it with a leather grip that you have made yourself.
- There is a hole at the end where you can thread a paracord through, so you can attach a cord and wrap it around your wrist for added safety, or you can wear it in your own stylish way to add some individuality.

[Recommended for these people]
・Axes are a bit difficult, and hatchets are too big and heavy...
・I want to split firewood easily, but a knife just isn't enough...
・I want a blade that combines the best of a hatchet and a knife.・I don't want it to lose its sharpness, but I also want it to be durable.・I want to limit myself to just one blade.・I want a blade that can easily split hard hardwood.・I want to become good at making feather sticks.・I want to use it for hunting.・I'm looking for a blade to use in bushcraft.・I'm looking for a wild blade that's easy for women to use.・I want a Japanese-made blade that's sure to please.・I want a blade that will last me a lifetime.・I want to use the real thing.・I want to use a blade made in Sanjo.・I want to use something that's never been done before.・I want to use a blade I can be proud of.・I want to use the same blade as a Chikyugi.

[How to use it]
This hatchet is double-edged and can be used by either left or right handed people.

[Preparation before use]
- Make sure there is no wobbling, looseness, nicks in the blade, or scratches on the leather case.
・If the screw on the grip is loose, tighten it with a coin or something similar before using.
- Be sure to wear gloves to protect your hands.

[Usage/How to use]
<Chopping firewood>
It can split commercially available camping firewood and other miscellaneous trees into thin strips or cut them into shorter lengths.
This hatchet is heavy and solid, so you can split firewood easily without applying much force, and it will split wood easily even if it has some knots in it.
The firewood splits so easily that it becomes so much fun that you might end up splitting more than necessary!

■Points・When splitting firewood, always use a firewood splitter. Do not split thick logs in one go, but in several runs.

<Batoning>
It is also very suitable for splitting firewood using the batoning method.
The sharp blade easily bites into the firewood, and as it hammers in, the 7mm blade thickness pushes the firewood apart to the left and right, allowing you to split it without any difficulty.
Since it doesn't require much strength, you can enjoy splitting firewood relatively safely.

■Tips : Hit the blade from the center to the tip.
- When splitting firewood into smaller pieces, split them into pieces approximately 3 to 4 cm wide.

<Feather Stick>
The blade is very sharp, making feather sticks easy.
Rather than carving the wood, the blade slides into the wood, giving the feeling of peeling off the bark.
The feeling of the blade smoothly cutting into the knife is very addictive.
Even if you have had difficulty making feather sticks until now, if you use this Masurao hatchet, you will be able to make feather sticks like you never thought you would.

■Tips : Hold this product in your dominant hand and scrape the surface of the firewood smoothly.
- It is easier to make if you keep your wrist fixed and keep the blade at a constant angle while cutting all the way to the bottom.
- It is easier to sand if you sand the corners rather than the surface of the wood.

<Branch removal>
It is also suitable for removing branches and tops from felled trees.
This hatchet is very easy to use not only for camping and outdoor activities, but also for forestry work and farm work.

■Points
It is easier to cut if you cut the blade against the grain of the wood.

[Care instructions]
Please follow the instructions below to properly clean the product.

1. Remove any dirt (wood chips and tar) from the blade.
2. If the stain is strong, use a brush (such as a toothbrush) and rinse with running water.
3. After that, remove the water and let it dry. Apply knife oil to the blade, spread the oil with a towel, and wipe it off.
4. The grip will also deteriorate. By applying commercially available beeswax, you can maintain the luster and enjoy the aging process.
5. Please store it in a leather case in a well-ventilated place.
6. When the blade becomes dull, sharpen it.

[About blade sharpening]
It is possible to sharpen it using a commercially available medium whetstone (# 800/1000 ).

・If you experience any problems before or after use, please contact the store where you purchased the product.
・The warranty coverage for the Masurao Hatchet Enbu applies if scratches, chips, cracks, etc. are found on the product before use.
- If the grip (wooden handle) cracks, or if the handle cracks during or after use, it will not be covered by the warranty, regardless of the number of times it is used.

・We will accept repairs, but shipping costs, part replacement costs, and labor costs will be charged separately.
- At first, the leather case may feel stiff and the buttons may feel tight.
Leather stretches with use, so we make it a little tight when we send it to you. It will become more comfortable after you put the hatchet in and out a few times.
- When batoning, never hit the part with a metal hammer.
If you hit it with a metal hammer, the area hit will crush and expand, making it impossible to baton.
In more severe cases, the blade may crack and break.
- When batoning, always use wood.

[Product warranty]

When batoning, be sure to use a wooden, plastic, or rubber hammer. Hitting the hatchet with metal (such as a peg hammer) will break it.
If the screw on the grip becomes loose after chopping firewood or batoning, please retighten it with a flat head screwdriver or coin. Using it in this condition may result in damage to the hatchet or injury.
If we determine that the product has been struck with metal, it will not be eligible for return.
